The loading system in particular is interesting. I've only seen it used once before, by Keith Thompson no less.

The red thing is supposed to be the bullet, which when it enters the chamber is facing backwards.

Judging by the direction the scope/sensor/whatever the blue thing is is facing, the muzzle is to the right from the given perspective.
The rounds will face the appropriate direction.

to scale, those rounds would be a lot more than 30mm, considering the entire thing is 7 feet.
