Breather-Experimental Platform by MrJumpManV4 Breather-Experimental Platform by MrJumpManV4
2084-Northern America

EWATP-Experimental Weapons and Auxillary Testing Platform

SAU-Standard Articulating Unit

Development of the Breather Experimental Platform began in early 2073 but unfortunately initially the plans were cancelled to have a unit capable of using a large variety of interchangeable components due to the extreme amount of power that was called for. The problem faces was similar to other SAUs. However other SAU's solved this problem because of the invention of the AMMSR in the European continent, which wasn't introduced to American nations until the later 90s (of 2090 that is). Instead of being powered by a unique type of nuclear energy, the Breather instead uses hydrogen and oxygen which are stored in it's shoulder canisters. The hydrogen is stored in 6 of the 8 containers, inside a unique crystalline lattice called Palladium-Hydride which has the ability to store hydrogen atoms thousands of times denser than if it were stored as a gas (even as a liquid it is more efficient). The hydrogen and oxygen are mixed together to power a generator and in turn power the servos that move the Breather. The Breather's power supply is on par with other SAU of its decade.

The Breather's primary purpose is to be capable of carrying a large variety of equipment in addition to having interchangeable components. Unlike most SAUs of its time, the Breather has digital articulation (in layman's terms, hands)
Currently the featured components in the image of the breather are an 80mm auto-cannon as well as the power system called O/PdH-1000 (called OP for short)

Note-not all EWATPs are Breathers, the breather is the particular type of EWATP, the EWATP is a particular type of SAU. EWATPs that make it past the testing phase are simply called SAUs and in 2084 the breather is finally classified as a SAU.

The size reference is a Seraph Unit.

dude you have no idea how delicious this is.

i can easily say this is pretty bad ass in its own right. the design is completly original and i love thje triangle plating on the arms and such. absolutly briliant. my favorite mech of yours. bar none.

Now with that much air powered packed down into a dense canister a stray shot is just about to blow an arm off...just saying....

i think? hyrogen is quite explosive if i remeber...

thank you very much! =D
i'm actually improving it again, i think the waist area is quite ugly and short. The newer one imo is a lot cooler already.
and yes hydrogen and oxygen are both highly combustible, the idea behind the concept is that not only palladium hydride stores hydrogen efficiently but also safer, if it's stored inside of a metal it's much less likely to explode, at least...that's how i think it would go. the oxygen doesn't require so much space to be stored so the container wall for that one is much thicker, but if something powerful enough to penetrate it, it would probably destroy most of the mech. BTW palladium hydride (without hydrogen stored inside of it i think it's just called paladium, the element) is real and does store hydrogen, but it's super rare.

Ah. yes my only concern was i stated before would be the compacted tight fitted air cells that power it. but you seemed to have thought this through.

another thing for a power scource you could look into is the Prendev Magnet motor. its well...magnetic powered. it doubles the energy output. example would be if you where to put 30 v. worth of magnetic force onto the whell it would give out 60 v.

its pretty intresting. at first i didnt know that it would produce such a stable and large power output compared to diesul fuel and electricity and such which can achieve massive energy outputs.

anyway its cheap and a really good thing to look into if your looking for infinite power supply for lower class SAU or even the big ones.

*Whistles* WOW... I get the feeling you reuse some of your detail meshes, like those triangular armor plate things, otherwise that much modeling would drive a person insane. Nice job! :D

Thanks!
and yea i reused some details, hopefully i didn't over use them. But just wait for the post showing the core details, that part took a large chunk of time to make.
How noticeable do you think the re used details are? aside from the triangular armor plating of course.

Without being too meticulous, the triangular ones are the only ones that stand out to me, other than the repeating elements sprouting from the shoulder joints. I think they look fine, I just wondered if you had used some of the pieces in other models of yours. They give it that feeling of details on tanks, sort of like the segmented armor on the T-90.

Ok cool thanks
i didn't use pieces from any other models tho, typically i try and avoid doing that cause it promotes lazyness =p

Holly hell, looks like some boss you would see in Armored core.

yea, cept the armored core bosses are always at least the size of a small town Xp
thanks very much =D
